I adore my 2 and think being at home is really important when they are pre-schoolers.

But it's the rest of it that drives me nuts, the endless shopping, tidying up, cooking, cleaning .....

Does anyone else feel the same and what do YOU do when it gets tooooo much?

Hey hey, we have a guy who cuts the grass and I've never looked at him like that before. Could be cos he's that side of 70. But y'know when the weather is hot ........ oooooh bad thought !

curtains
i am demented cleaning my floor , and agree with you
but for my sanity i just go for a spin in the car, both of mine nap at the same time and i just get into my bed or sit in the garden with a mag. even though i know theres ironing, cleaning, blah de balh, to be done.

and then i remind myself that its a great time and they ll be at school and i ll miss them.

i dont mind being alone per se,i listen to the radio, the phone is there to call my other sahm friends. its allconsuming this motherhood and being at home ...and dream of weekly blow dry s at the hairdressers, monthly spa visits, getting out on my bike ,my dream house with a centifugal hoovering system, (if thats the right description - u just attach the hose to the wall) or evening strollls with dh when kids are in bed..................

Try to get out in the evenings - my biddest problem is i feel i don't have anything to look foreward to. I look at the washing, and think i'll do it later, then get fed up as i always seem to have things to do! I have started a craft class and go swimming one night a week, so ow i try to get chores done so my evenings are free. Plus i nip out whilst dh is putting dd to bed, so he is getting increased responsibility.
No gardener, but the window cleaner is a hunk!
