Flobbleflobble strated a thread about all the good thing about only having one dc - lots of responses!!!

I have just had dc2 and still getting very srtessed. This thread is getting me back to regretting it a bit. How about all the advantages of having more than one dc???

I felt I had to have another as dc1 is so sociable and loves having the company of other children. I was worried he would be lonely as on anoly child...

We have a DS and DC2 is on his/her way. I always wanted more than one.

I adore DS and love the fact that we have had 2 years together but I really feel that its important that he has a sibling. I was one of 4 and still remember vividly the games and companionship and friendship... and fights that came with so many siblings. Sometimes I watch him playing alone in the garden and my heart breaks for him cause I know how many more laughs and giggles there would be if he had a little friend to play with. He has lots of friends outside the home but there is nothing quite like having someone around all the time.

Plus all the adult only children I know are a bit weird and one descibes his childhood as lonely and miserable.

On a morbid note - I also don't want them to be alone when DH and I aren't here anymore...

SarahL2 Sounds so familiar. That's how we felt. Ds1 can entertain himself for ages but he craves the company of other children. Like you said, friends can't be the same as someone that is always there. Oh, and all the best of luck for dc2
