Using the toilet as opposed to potty

Hi
I have previously toilet trained DT's when they were 2.2 using a potty but absolutely hated it! I don't know why but I've got a really adversion to cleaning a potty but am fine with nappies. Anyway, has anyone successfully tried just using a toilet trained seat with their children as DS3 (2) is showing signs of wanting to try to go to the toilet. Many thanks

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

yup, never owned a potty.
But my two were both 3+ when they started using the toilet, and both trained in a day or two, so it was much of an issue.

wasn't much of an issue....

sorry for disjointed reply
I should add, that as long as your DS isn't scared of falling in, or isn't scared of the flush (some children are), I would go for it. Can't hurt to try, and just think how much easier for you it will be. Let his older brothers be good role models for him - I bet he will want to copy what they do.

Go for it. Dd preferred the toilet to the potty and didn't even want a training seat.

Thanks, it looks like it is feasible. I'll let you know how I get on
