Washable alternative to pullups at night

DD1 is 3.9 and has been wearing pullups at night for the last 20 months and I'm sick of wasting money on them, she's showing no sign of giving them up any time soon.

DD2 is 2.3 and has started pulling her nappy off to wee on the potty after I put her to bed but often puts it back on backwards/not done up and we have leaks.

What washable alternative is there for both of them? It will need to hold a whole night's worth of wee for the nights that they don't bother with the potty at all and be easy for DD2 to pull back up (ie no doing up bits).

Might be worth looking at Wee Notions site or Motherease toddlease boosted with hemp or bamboo?

Minki yoyos, absolutely fab, my DD is 7 and still has problems with wetting. Michaela who makes these has various standard sizes but also does custom made up to any age. Great range of patterns too.

have also used happy heineys, motherease pull ups but minki win hands down every time as you stuff them according to your childs needs

Thanks, I'll have a look at those, the Minkis sound very good.

I'll second the Minki's, they are brilliant, mine are on a second child and still perfect.

I've just been looking at the Minkis and they do look good, £12.50 each though!

Am now trawling t'internet trying to find them a bit cheaper....

They are pricey but remember they are fleece and so dry really quickly, if you do a wash every day then you would only need one per child, two at the most. (it's fine to wash them with your normal washing btw)

dobby2001 · 22/05/2009 15:38

they may seem pricey compared to normal cloth nappies but compare them to a couple of packets of the disposable pull ups and you suddenly realise they are about the same - if i get those for DD, unless on special offer i am paying about £5 for a weeks worth

Plus what everyone else says. I only ever bough 3 - 1 on, 1 spare,1 being washed stuffed em with microfibre cloths or any boosters, prefolds or terries i had around. and have just sold on my small ones for 50% of new cost.

Motherease bedwetter pants, brilliant

Ooh Moosy just realised it's you!

Ds1 very heavy pittler until aged 4. Flame told me to get the bedwetter ones for him and they did us fine, good even for ds2, might even last for dd2.
