I've dyed the nappies, now need colourful wraps!

The nappies are vibrant yellow, orange, apple green and tahitian blue. I'm looking for some waterproof wraps in similarly vibrant colours, preferably single block colour but abstract patterns (eg spots) in bright colours would be good as well.

the new tots bots rainbow wraps are nice and bright and reduced to clear in some places..... failing that weenotions do nice bright pretty wraps.

Bummis wraps are great - really retro patterns (very reliable too! )

Have you seen this choice of fabrics for a custom wrap (£9 each) - I have side snap citrus slush and a side snap beach scene made by them and they are lovely here
They arrived very fast and are beautifully made too!

Oooo, what did you use as a dye? I have several grey nappies that need a new lease of life.

Weenotions wraps are great too www.weenotions.info/ and have a wide range of fabrics to choose from - I have several and they're very similar in shape to a Motherease airflow.

The Upsy Daisy ones look fab too, might have to try one of those!

sleepingcat I dyed some old greying nappies recently using machine dylon, it worked great on the cotton ones but I also dyed a bamboozle which came out a bit uneven, still looks good though.

twoclimbingboys · 12/05/2009 22:10

I have used chocolate brown dylon on cotton tots.

Kasha - I have posted photos of the UD wraps I have on the cloth nappy user general chat thread if you wanted to have a look!

Sleepingcat- I asked the oracles of MN and ended up using plain old Dylon machine dye. The machine seems fine, and the nappies are bright! Thank you very much for all the suggestions- am off to investigate now.

I've been using terries and the plastic waterproof pants from Mothercare are getting a little small. Would wraps do the job as well?

duchesse · 13/05/2009 20:28

so- I don't have any experience of fleece only wraps, only of the plastic type ones with velcro at the front and the woollen knitted type. Ime the plastic ones are better than pull up pant types as you can take them off without smearing nappy contents all over the baby! The woolen ones I loved but my husband thought the babies were always a little damp (but absolutely not smelly). I'd imagine the fleece only ones behave pretty much the same as the woollen ones. Others may be more use than me though.

Nature babies are colourful and our second choice after airflow (not colourful!)

Baby Beehinds wraps are lovely single block colours. I've not tried them but I hear they are good - I LOVE their nappies so I believe it.
