Pampers Active Fit and big soft poos!

Yesterday DS graduated from Pampers Baby Dry to Active Fit. We thought he was due for it, being active and all that. First nappy - big poo escaped at both legs! Can't remember this happening with Baby Dry. Was this just a coincidental huge poo, or is this typical of Active Fit?
[(Baby Dry has served us very well but have been coming a bit undone since he's on the move) I know MNers say Tesco are best but (shock horror) we don't have a local T!]

Active Fit are a big con imo. They're more expensive as you get less in a pack.

If Baby Dry works for you then go back to them - we've been using them for ds for most of his 2.5 years and he tears about all day with no discernable problems!

Ah. Sorry, just read your post properly.

Maybe try Huggies/supermarket own brand if they're coming undone. Or maybe move up a size on the Baby Dry?

We could never get along with pampers really. We always had little escapes, be it poo or pee.
I now use tesco's own brand which we are finding really good, and alot cheaper! But before that, we were using huggies as they seem to be a bit wider and are better at covering bigger bottoms!
I also noticed that pampers nappies smelled bad too. I was forever taking ds1's nappy off thinking he'd done a big poo, but it was just the nappy that smelt. A friend of mine also noticed worse smells with pampers

thanks sc and lbb! Huggies gives him sore bum, unfortunately. Local shop is Morrisons - can't imagine they're much good, but you never know, When we're through this box of 64 AF, will go back to BD if more poo probs! Have good Sundays!

The only own brand nappies I've heard negative feedback on are Boots.

tesco or asda nappies own brand are better than pampers

pampers are a shockingly expensive 'not so good' nappy IMHO
