Short french translation please!!

Hi,
I do speak french but not 100% fluently. I cant figure out what 'je tiens au jus' means as its so colloquial. Please help!!!!

I want juice.

Bablefish says it means I hold with the juice somehow I don't think that's right!

It means "I'll keep you informed".

Go to Google translator...it means 'I want juice'.

Very odd!

Not really that strange - English refers to gossip as being "juicy" and you migth "squeeze" someone for information. As others have said it's an informal way of saying I'll keep you up to date/posted.

Is there not a vous/te in there - je te/vous tiens au jus?

Synonyme de tenir au courant, prévenir , donner des nouvelles à propos d'une chose...

Must see if DH knows it or if it's just for 'les jeunes'.
