I have no idea if their sizes are average / small / large etc!

I find them on the small size... and my dd is 50th centile.
Go for 3-4.

EachPeachPearMum · 01/05/2009 23:35

gah! 'small side' of course...

trixymalixy · 01/05/2009 23:42

My Ds is 2 yrs 3 months and the mini mode stuff he was bought for his 2nd birthday is far too big for him. He is on 50th centile. I would go for 2-3.

Well- that will stump you!

EachPeachPearMum · 01/05/2009 23:53

Maybe the girls stuff is on the small side, and the boys' on the large side?

nevergoogledragonbutter · 01/05/2009 23:54

i think mini-mode is small compared to tescos/next etc.

trixymalixy · 02/05/2009 00:04

Can you buy both sizes and take one back?

i was particularly thinking of the rain mac he was bought with a tractor on it that is absolutely huge on him

BiscuitStuffer · 02/05/2009 19:32

oh bugger dear. Perhaps rain macs are huge so that 'stuff' can fit underneath and everything else is small .

I find MiniMode true to age for DS, and therefore on the small side compared to other brands as DS is very slim.

What other brands do you buy? If your child fits his age in Asda for instance then I would go a size up in Mini Mode.

TabithaTwitchet · 02/05/2009 19:47

Can you take the child with you to the shop and try it on there? We just did that with DD - she is 16 months, 12-18 month mini mode jacket fitted perfectly, 18-24 month fitted OK in the body but the sleeves were too long.

DD is quite small (0.5th centile last time we checked)

Buy the bigger one, if it's too big then buy the smaller one and keep the bigger one for next year. [reckless spender emoticon]

I'm deluding myself that it won't rain much between now and the autumn so I'm not going to bother with a rain mac for DD.

BiscuitStuffer · 02/05/2009 20:31

Thank you everyone but it's on ebay!

I would buy the bigger size then if it's on ebay.

vess · 03/05/2009 18:58

The bigger size, of course - it will last longer!

wotulookinat · 03/05/2009 19:09

Get the three to four. There probaly won't be an awful ot of difference.

BiscuitStuffer · 03/05/2009 20:30

Thanks everyone - now, how about jojomamanbebe sizing for a skirt?? Slim but tall aged 2.4!!

wotulookinat · 04/05/2009 10:19

Don't know about that one, I'm afraid.

nappyaddict · 04/05/2009 10:23

I have to go up a size in tops/coats but down a size in trousers
