Hi, I am trying to complete an access course (while looking after 3 kids) so I can take up my place on a midwifery degree next year. I have recently realised that I have to finish this course in 2 months and I have soooo much to do. I need to compile a questionnaire about working mothers and was wondering if anyone could spare me a few minutes to fill it in. Its really short and doesnt need much thought! I have posted on the working mums forum and have been so pleased by the amount of responses I have had. I now need the views of stay at home mums.If anyone is interested in helping me please CAT me and I will email a copy. Thank you so much x

Hi, I'll do it. I was in the same boat not long ago with my access course - am starting my midwifery degree in September.

Oh, what an idiot; have just realised it's for working mums .

Good luck, hope it all goes well. I got a fantastic response when I asked MNHQ to put mine on the media requests board

FabulousBakerGirl · 01/05/2009 12:22

I'm a full time SAHM and would be happy to help you.

milkysallgone · 01/05/2009 12:22

Just re-read, so you need sahm reponses now? [puts brain into gear].

Right. How do I contact you?

Btw, you may want to consider revsing the thread title to something like 'stay at home mums'; some people on here tend to get a little worked up over such things

soon2bmidwife · 01/05/2009 14:13

Thanks milkysallgone but I cant figure out how to edit my post!
Which uni are you going to?

I got the questionnaire, will send it later when I get a spare few minutes.

PM73 · 01/05/2009 17:41

Hi,i am sahm & i am quite happy to do your questionnaire.

Smilewearingthin · 01/05/2009 19:10

yes, I'm happy to do it too (sahm of three)

nevergoogledragonbutter · 01/05/2009 19:12

ahem, yes, we're all full time mums, whether we work or not.

mileniwmffalcon · 01/05/2009 19:13

but milky surely we'd all get up in arms over the fact that we "full time" mums do take our children out occasionally

i'll do it

BeehiveBaby · 01/05/2009 19:16

I will do it

milkysallgone · 01/05/2009 19:35

What?? We're supposed to take them outside?

PuppyMonkey · 01/05/2009 19:37

I'm only a part-time mum, so I can't do it.

soon2bmidwife · 01/05/2009 19:57

I take the point, hadn't occured to me!
Thanks everybody, much appreciated.

PM73 your CAT seems to be deactivated.

Milky I will be going to Leicester DMU

Thank you to everyone who has taken time out to help.
I could do with just a few more if any one can spare a minute or two

I don't mind doing it.

You'll have to cat me though as I don't have cat (although should be able to receive them).

I'm a full time stay at home mum

boogeek · 01/05/2009 21:47

I can do it - same as above though, you'll have to cat me. I'm a fulltime SAHM who does freelance work in the evenings when the kids are in bed, what does that make me (apart from insane): time and a half?

EachPeachPearMum · 01/05/2009 21:51

What about mothers who work full time usually, but are currently SAHM on maternity leave?

luckywinner · 01/05/2009 21:53

Happy to do it too and I am cattable.
Btw can I ask what access course you are doing as I really want to do midwifery once I'm done having babies

soon2bmidwife · 01/05/2009 22:20

Thanks everyone

luckywinner I'm doing an online course with DLC. You can do it in your own time so can fit it around the kids. Allegedly. Can email details if you like x

A word of advice. When you're a midwife, don't ever suggest to a mum who has to return to work that she'll only be mothering her child "part-time".

soon2bmidwife · 01/05/2009 22:41

Sorry twinklemegan didnt mean to offend!
It has been pointed out to me and although it hadnt occured to me, I completely see why it might offend. I would have edited but I dont know how to do it!

Twinklemegan · 01/05/2009 22:51

If there's one thing I really wish we could do on here it's edit a thread title, or delete a thread while it has no replies. I had one a while back, I can't remember what it was now, but the title ended up being completely misleading and not at all what I wanted to convey. No offence taken - in practical terms I guess I am a part-time mum - and glad of it sometimes I can tell you!

PM73 · 02/05/2009 07:43

You should be able to contact me know,if you still need volunteers.

soon2bmidwife · 02/05/2009 08:21

Thanks PM73, could do with some more
