Argh the guilt

Ds has been spoiling for one hell of a tantrum for days. I have warned, explained, threatened etc and tonight I had enough and so he has just gone to bed one and a half hours earlier than normal.

He is sobbing and I feel like shit. I have hugged him and explained why he is there etc, and checked that he understands why his behaviour is wrong, but urgh it is crap.

What do you mean by 'spoiling' for a tantrum? I don't understand the expression sorry. How old is he?

NervousNutty · 28/04/2009 19:19

He is 6 and basically I mean that he has been playing up for the last few days, not really badly but enough to get a warning.

Today though he just carried on and on.

I think he is sleeping now so maybe he was tired.

Well in that case it sounds like you've done exactly the right thing but can totally empathise with the guilt thing- it's horrible isn't it? It's just because you're a good mum

Have yourself a big, fat glass of wine and some chocolate and try not to dwell on it.
