WET NIGHTS.....IN NEED OF BETTER PERFORMING ECO DISPOSABLE!!

My 9 month old DS still needs a feed at 10.30pm but we've recently stopped changing him and we've had a few wet nappies by 5am. He's in Bumgenius in the day but I have to change him every 3 hours. I use Nature Babycare eco at night but wonder if there's a better performing eco disposable out there. I know Sainsbury's and Asda do their own brand but haven't tried them. Someone suggested buying bamboo inserts for the reusables I already have, has anyone had to do this or is my DS the only child that pees like a racehorse at night?

Sainsbury's are rubbish, Asda quite good but prefer the Nature Baby. There's also Moltex, which we haven't tried since DD was wee.

Sympathise as we have the same problem here and no idea what the solution is. Might try a wrap over the disposable - worth a go?

Forgot to say we have a DD so fit might be different maybe.

I have 2 DSs and one DD (she is 3 months old). We have used moltex for all 3 with no problems during the day or at night.

They aren't cheap though, we tend to buy ours online from spirit of nature.

Ooh, maybe we should revisit the Moltex. Nature are expensive too!

DS is back in disposables but I find the eco baby fantastic. I consider him a heavy wetter and he wets through huggies and pampers et al but the eco baby keep it all in. I do go up a size though eg DS is only just within the weight range for the 5's and thats what we use.

I have to use a ME wrap over a disposable for my nearly 4yo at night. He outgrew the washable nappies and the disposables kept leaking (possibly due to hands in pants though).

I have always boosted my DS' night nappies with microfibre booster pads but think bamboo is the 'new' thing to use these days

Have used Asda eco's but don't rate them.

For my 10 month old DS I use his normal day time nappies (terry squares/Motherease wrap) with a bamboo booster insert for night times. No leaks yet, fingers crossed.

He has naturecare disposables when we are away and they do sometimes leak if they are on all night, so I now put a wrap on top just to be safe.

My advice is to get a couple of bamboo inserts and see if they work for you.

Thanks everyone!
