Had 12 week scan yesterday, was a much wanted pg and sibling for ds...

Shocked and sad to see a large sac but no baby.have been v 'pg',have bump, sickness, the lot...

Ambroken hearted.but my wonderful, beautiful, clever little boy has spent his day running over to announce 'cuddle' or 'kiss' and snuggle up to mummy...

One day I'll thank him for keeping me going.

you poor lamb i really feel for you x

I remember havong the self same experince and how my little boy was a little rock

thinking of you all tonight x

Jacksmama · 22/04/2009 23:41

Oh dear. So for you. Your DS sounds a treasure, kissing and cuddling mummy.
Would a ((((((HUG))))))) be welcome?
Kissy noises from my 14-month-old DS. (I just told him "make a kiss at the computer because a lady on it is very sad" and he enthusiastically kissed the screen.)

MrsDanversAteMyIpod · 23/04/2009 00:06

Oh dear ,you poor thing, you have my sympathies, I've been there too. Bless your ds though, I bet he senses more than he can fully understand.

Here's another unMN-type ((((((HUG))))), wishing you well x

I'm so sorry . Agree that your DS sounds like a little delight.

BlueCowWondersAgain · 23/04/2009 04:28

been there with a missed m/c
take all the hugs you can get.
Your ds sounds a star - obviously reflecting a superior mum's parenting skills! - pat on the back for you.

nolongerchunkybutstillapudding · 23/04/2009 11:32

thanks all.

had 2nd scan to confirm today. still no baby.

am booked in for op tomorrow, sounds like waiting not a great option - too far along so could be quite bad, can't stand not knowing when it might happen, and have to put ds first - he gets freaked out if i stub my toe so i don't think mummy having a miscarriage would be good for him....

am sad and tired but am very lucky that i have such a clever, chatty and loving little boy.

he has decided he doesn't want to sleep very well at the mo... wants more cuddles, guess i'm not hiding my state of mind that well.

thanks for the hugs xxxx

Im so sorry for your loss. I have been there too with missed mcs, before my two boys.
Your ds sounds lovely and agree it is a reflection of your great parenting skills. Take it you have someone to help with ds tomorrow. Sending you hugs

BibiThree · 23/04/2009 11:46

So sorry to read this , I know your boy will be of great comfort to you in the coming weeks and months. DD1 was 11m when I found out I'd had a missed m/c at 16 weeks and she was my absolute rock.

Take good care of yourself {{hugs}}

I'm so sorry to read this. Having been through a similar experience (although I didn't have to endure symptoms for 12 weeks) you have my heartfelt sympathies.

Your boy sounds scrumptious. My ds played a large part in getting me through my mc in January. I couldn't go to pieces and just get drunk and try to forget which, frankly, is what I wanted to do. And sometimes, even on the shittiest day, he made me giggle with his sheer exuberance, sweetness and humour. Hugging his little body seemed to make me stronger.

Big hugs to all of you x

Ewemoo · 23/04/2009 21:02

Just wanted to give you some hope for the future - I had a missed mc Feb 08 at 8 weeks and on Xmas Eve I gave birth to dts. It is your children who get you through in the end.

nolongerchunkybutstillapudding · 23/04/2009 21:06

thanks everyone.am quite scared about tomorrow but know under these circumstances the erpc (yuck) is my best option. Dp being great too,tho don't think it's hit him in quite the same way (am glad tbh)

And mum n dad gonna come and help at the weekend.they are wonderful with ds.

Just wish I could get on an 'even keel' just keep getting knocked over by waves of sadness and sobbing...I guess it'll take time, after all until 3pm on Tuesday I was 12 weeks pg....

Am glad of the love I have around me.will try and wrap myself up in it...

And thanks again for helping to hold me up,can't put this all on do's shoulders (broad as they are )

xxxxx

Bumping in the hope of some good vibes before I go-have to be at hosp before 9 but no idea how long I'll have to wait. Aaargh wish I could change this!

Flower3545 · 24/04/2009 08:12

good vibes duly sent. I'm so sorry you have to go through this but I'll echo what others have said.
I had a miscarriage when DD1 was 2 and was told I wasn't miscarrying by a locum as my GP was on holiday. Locum said it was just a heavy period. Had a horrendous 3 weeks constantly bleeding before my doc returned and had me in hospital the same morning. Miscarriage was confirmed and I was told I could fall pregnant straight away.

I had one period then got pregnant with DS the following month.

{{{{hugs}}}}

nolongerchunkybutstillapudding · 28/04/2009 12:52

thanks flower...

hosp went ok ish. feel like shite tho, and can't keep up with ds... am at work today and my brain is like a big lump of mud...

still can't quite believe this has happened. really thought ds would be meeting the little one in a few months

seems like quite a lot of people get pg again quickly, so fingers crossed (will be soooo worried next time tho!)
