Floatie jackets????

Taking my DS to France on holiday this year. He will be a month off his 2nd birthday when we go.

He loves the water and is happy to be splashed, dunked etc. I am obviously worried about the pool and the sea as he is a quick little bugger!!

Has anyone used a floatie jacket? Are they any good? Better than arm bands? Any suggestions on which type is best?

Yes, they are great - only sorry my ds2 has grown out of them (aged 6), as he still isn't very confident in the water. Here:

They're about £25, but thoroughly worth every penny. They come is ages sizes and you can remove floats as they become more confident (Enjoy your hols!

I picked one up from Tk Maxx for about £12

i completely agree with ICANDOTHAT - gives so much confidence and holds them in more natural swimming position than other floatation devices. Also you can take out floats one at a time as they progress so they end up swimminng by themselves. can take a short while for child to adjust so don't give up if not hugely successful first time.
