how to prepare cloth nappies for sale?

We have some size one shaped nappies that ds has grown out of and I am thinking about putting them in the next nct sale. They have always been washed at 40 and line dried so are rather crunchy and have some slight staining so I don't think they would be very appealing.

Any tips for:
a) getting the stains out
b) making them nice and soft without access to a tumble drier

i just bought a few nappies from nct sale and they were lovely and clean/white but they were in a plastic bag and with the madness that is an nct sale i really wasn't bothered about the condition as they were such a good price. that said, sunshine is the only thing that's worked for me with stains. i give mine a good shake when they're drying so they're not as stiff, don't know how else to soften without fabric softner.

I always added white vinegar to the wash to soften my nappies. Also leaving them out on the line if it's raining also makes them softer when they are dry. I don't know why but it works. Also I found that line drying in the sun was also the most effective way to remove stains as well.

Tumble dry a bit to fluff up and use some bleach. I sold all mine, and they had been used on 4 babies.
