Care of TotsBots Bamboozles

Hiya, Have started using TotsBots Bamboozles and wanted to know if there is anything I should be doing other than washing them to keep them in the best condition possible.

I am currently dry pailing, washing with regular washing powder on a 40degrees and drying on a airier, as we don't have a tumble dryer. Is there anything else I should be doing to look after them?

I live in a very hard water area if that makes any difference.
Thanks

Sounds fine to me.
Add a splash of white vinegar to the fabric softener bit in the washing machine every couple of washes (or every wash if you like).
I think you can wash at 60 with these also, but remember to only use half the quantity of soap powder.

Thanks Sasamaxx, I'll do that. TBH I have always only used half the quantity of laundry powder because I'm sure you don't need anything like the amount they suggest to get your clothes clean, I mean unless they were REALLY dirty. I think is some sort of Persil conspiracy to sell more laundry powder!!!

I think you're right!

Hi I've got bamboozles and I use non bio washing powder because I think regular bio powder can damage the fibres and/or the elastic over time, just to mention that in case because you said that you use regular not bio. BTW i'm in a hard water area too and i wish my nappies were softer than they are after washing but i have heard as sasamaxx says that vinegar is supposed to soften them

i think the occasional tumble dry can help soften them up, i have noticed mine (had them 4 months or so) are getting a bit crunchy, might do them (washed!) at the launderette with some sheets and stuff

If they feel crunchy rainwater softens them and also rubbing them together when dry makes the fibres fluff up.
