How to help 3 year old to be dry at night?

My 3 year old DD has just stopped having nappies at night. We're only onto night 3, but so far she has wet bed once each night - woken another time for a wee on the potty. Will she just get better gradually, and learn to wake to pee? I'm not sure if I am going about this in the best way ... we have potty by the bed and a sticker chart for her to have a sticker each time she uses the potty in the night. She doesn't drink anything at night - just has bit of milk at bedtime. Any suggestions very welcome!

Why have you taken her nappies off at night if she's not dry yet? Did she want to leave her nappy off?

We usually waited until we had 3 dry nappies in a row before we stopped putting them on at night. Makes for much less work.

She will just stop wetting at night when she's ready.

my DD going to be 6 in July and still not dry - am leaving it until she's ready to do it, HV, school nurse etc all fine with it as some kids do it later than others

don't be giving yourself too much work if you don't think she's ready

i wouldnt have stopped using nappies unless showing signs of being dry such as 3 dry nappies in a row you cant help them be dry its a hormone that kicks in that makes them dry my ds is 4 end of this month still has night time nappies

they say lifting to do wee works but to be honest some people lift for 6 mths by that point its probably the hormone thats kicked in not the lifting thats worked

ive been told by pediatrician not to lift at night as it helps them to wee asleep as not fully awake when going

im happy to leave it as long as it takes to get dry at night is she's not ready then put back in nappies and wait for they 3 dry nappies

some parents get competitive and say what not dry yet blah blah we got ours dry at 9 mths lol but its all down to a hormone you can choose to lift but remember you could be doing that for along time until that hormone kicks in its not unusual for school age children to have wet nights

agree with the others, you need to wait until she's having dry nappies (or said that she doesn't want a nappy on as in the case of my DS2 who was also 3 at the time).

Lifting isn't recommended by enuresis clinics - as it doesn't help them learn how to control their bladder at night (with the aid of the hormone which kicks in at different ages).

My DS1 is 8 1/2yr and still wets every night . DS2 is 5 and been dry at night since he was 3 1/2yrs old. They're all different.

Thanks for all replies! she has not been totally dry at night yet but her nappies were not very wet and she can go a long time during the day without peeing - also doesn't need a nappy for long naps in day - also told me she didn't want to wear a night-time nappy any more. Perhaps I should wait though until she is more dry at night consistently?
