Making your life easier?

Hi. I'm an at home mum trying to come up with a new business idea (another as the one I've worked on for a year has just been done by someone else). Please tell me if you can think of anything that would make your life easier, that you don't now have (and I know already we all need lots more cash!).

Please send all ideas my way, no matter how silly.

Thank you.

What would be great would be a register of people who were good at a variety of things such as gardening/ironing/sewing/cleaning/simple DIY that you could hire for a couple of hours to get all the niggly little jobs done.

online donation of old baby/children stuff - no cash passed hands, stuff gets collected from you, no need to fuss about sending it to someone

a resource with games and activities that i can follow and teach my baby what she needs to learn (beyond the speak to her as you run your errands, download this funny image and colour in etc)

a mums twitter so i can join an alpha mum's micro blog and remember to sign up my kids for this or that when she does, etc etc

Some kind of contraption to catch the food that my daughter throws from her highchair 3 times a day. Those plastic sheet things are too hard to clean and I've given up and am back to grudgingly scrubbing the floor thrice daily. Suppose it's the cleanest it's ever been....

How about a service where you pop round just after meals with a hungry dog?

I've been thinking about this a lot in the past week after I went shopping with DS. Some sort of creche facility at the mall. Security with digital camera - photos of DC & parent so they could match up when they came to collect them.... I would definitely pay for a couple of hours of "relaxed" shopping.

When I had dd I wished I could "rent-a-friend". All mine worked full time and had no dcs at the time - I led the way . I would have loved someone to come round and make a bit of a fuss when dh went back to work. Do a bit of washing, make some bottles. Make me a cup of tea. Not so much looking after the baby but the other stuff you have to do. And have a chat. I was starved of human company.

I really really struggle to get babysitting as I have recently moved to a new area and have to rely on friends when they are available and it's always a bit awkward.

What would be really would be to have a booking and reference system for local teenagers/mums wanting to earn extra money so you know they're going to be OK to leave your little angels with!

love the idea of creche at the shopping centre, or supermarket.
