Does anyone use terries with their toddler?

I'm currently using motherease nappies with motherease wraps, but I would love to have a go at using terries.

Can you suggest some folds that would be suitable for dd? I'm presuming I can still use motherease wraps with the terries?

Or is this just a mad idea?!

I used terry squares, there are many ways of folding, depends on the size of baby and boy or girl.

I went for them as they dry quicker than prefolded ones and were a damm sight cheaper.

Plus I was trying too hard to be a perfect mum .

With 2nd baby I used mostly disposables, decided it wasn't worth the extra work. And didn't try so hard to be perfect as I had got over the whole PFB thing .

They were worth the money as I still use them as hand towels today 12 yrs on (some were second hand when I got them)

Heres some ideas for folding

Better instructions

The new born one is good, but DS was too big to use this one on him.

I have used terries with all 3 of mine, ... they are the cheapest, most versitile and easiest to dry of all washables... just fold in half to make a triangle and use a booster pad... fix with a nappy nippa and use any wrap which has a double gusset...

I sometimes use (bamboo) terries with Motherease wraps, no problem. Got them from the Nappy Lady - lots of good folding tips on their site (I favour the Jo fold, but my DC is a boy).

I've always used terry squares. They're the best nappy system imo, because you can try out loads of different folds to suit DC. Personnally, I like the kite fold on my heavy wetting DS, which is easy to boost at night by pad folding another terry nappy on top. The Jo fold is also good. It's a question of trial and error. Most wraps go over terry nappies, but I favour old fashioned pull on plastic pants, because they're cheap and do the job. I've never had any leaks, as long as you make sure all the nappy is tucked well inside the pants.

We used terries when we took dd on holiday. We used the Jo Fold www.thenappylady.co.uk/public/articledetails.aspx?id=141 (we'd used it when she was a newborn too) with a Mother-Ease Airflow wrap without any problems.

Thanks, I was worried that the Jo fold wouldn't be big enough for a toddler, but I'll give it a go. dd is 18 months and quite a large girl
