Are cheap toothbrushes OK?

DD (2.5) seems to chew her toothbrushes to death in a matter of days. I bought her a new one today and was a bit at the price of an Oral B brush - over 2 quid. Then I saw Superdrug own brand for 49p. Main difference I can see is that I am not paying Disney royalties to see Pooh bear on the handle!

Any reason not to go for this? I can't see that in our current 30 second battle twice a day the quality of the toothbrush is going to make all that much difference?

cheap can be better as you are likely to change it as soon as needed, rather than an expensive one people think 'I need to get money's worth' and keep it too long.

the Mail got a dentist to rate top 10 toothbrushes on market and the one that came top was Tescos own brand (cheap) some of the dearer ones got really low scores

we use tescos own and just oral B ones when on offer for the kids (they are on offer for £1 at mo in Tesco)

Makes sense, thanks. I'll keep an eye out for offers too and stock up.
