DS1 wants to watch something that DD is scared of. He was made to give in yesterday so I am letting him have his choice today. DD has gone in a strop and has thrown her shoe off and her apple in the bin. Has now gone up to her room. I expect she will read quite happily. She moaned he gets to choose more as he has been alive longer. She is down now crying again. Is genuinelt scared so I am going to her but I feel it is fair that DS gets his choice.

Go do something with her whilst he watches his show.
Only fair to take turns, unless he's watching a horror film in which case it maybe inappropriate......or those 2 new simpletons presenting cbeebies, that's wrong too.

I think you should leave her to calm down a bit, as long as she's safe and not wrecking the join and then explain that they both get choices and tonight is DS's choice. Maybe find something that you and her can do together why he watches whatever it is? Make your peace and talk to her about fairness and maybe why she'd scared of this programme too, whilst you do your 'thing' together.

While DD and I were feeding the cat, DS has disappeared upstairs and when I called him he said it was because she was scared. I told him it was his turn to choose so to come down if he wanted to still watch it. He said no so I have put CBeebies on for them and DS will watch the Docotr Who on his own after tea.
