am i the only one feeling dazed, confused and a bit lost when it comes to yummy mummies, scummy mummies and earth mothers etc (i'm the one whom normally hides in the corner at playgroups and have no idea what a bumbo is...)
some people might disapprove of the "labeling", but it can't be denied that things have changed and i find myself in a world where babies have educational plans, gym classes, pc nursery rhymes and organic rice cakes and vegetables fed to them by very immaculate looking ladies.
just today i read my little one a book about a snail and frog racing and had to change the ending myself as they both ended up winning, even though the frog was a little bugger and (in my opinion) quite rude to the snail what happened to the slightly mumsy, scruffy and harassed looking mums out there or are we becoming extinct?

When DD2 was about 18 months, I dropped my two children off at the childminder and went off to work, feeling quite good in a black velvet skirt, black and white jumper and with proper make-up on etc. Went into a meeting with a lovely male colleague a bit older than me (who had teenage children). We had a 30 minute meeting then, as I stood up, he gravely plucked a Sugar Puff off my jumper and silently handed it to me.

Then PHSL

I think it depends on where you live, secretgardin. Mums still look fairly ordinary round this way.
