Sleepytot for Dummy???

mummymimi · 27/03/2009 16:16

I have just ordered a sleepytot to attach a dummy to and was just wondering if anyone has any success stories?

My son is nearly 5 months and after some serious thought I have decided to keep the dummy as he needs it to go to sleep and I can't put him through distress to wean him off it.

When will he be able to find it himself?

He is my fourth baby but my first dummy lover!!!!

I don't like these TBH, I'd be scared to use one incase my LO smothered themself.

5 months is far too young to wean off a dummy. I;ve had 2 dummy lovers and they were weaned at 2 (18 months for during the day). DS3 does not like dummies at all.

Just googled it.

I looks quite a good idea. I'd have tried it with ds. Instead we just put a cot bumper on so the dummies would not go through the bars and threw a few etra dummies in.

Dd has her thumb!

Don't think it would smother them as ds used to snuggle right up to his musly. I did think about threading his dummy handle through his musly but never did it.

Mine always had 3 or 4 dummies in the cot and before i went to bed I would retrieve any fromt he floor and make sure there were a few in with him

Also menat he never got attached to just one dummy (thank goodness as we lost them constantly!)

We have a Sleepytot. They're great. My first always snuggled her face up to her comforter and that's all dd does wih hers but there's a dummy on the paw. It worked for us anyway but dd didn't figure it out until she was about 6 months. Did you get yours mummymimi? Did it work for you?
