how often do you bath a 10 year old?

At the moment DD has a bath a couple of times a week and has a wash down at the sink every night she doesn't have a bath.

Is this enough though? Friend says that her DD has one every night but tbh I am knackered at the moment due to being pregnant and don't want to be having to sort out baths every night

How often a 10-year should wash and how often they do are different things. Who knows what goes on behind a locked bathroom door.

My 9yo DS has a shower every morning before school without any input from me (apart from checking he does actually look and smell clean). Showers at the weekends are tricker as he tells me "But I don't wash at weekends!"

My 7 year old has a shower on her own most mornings and a supervised bath a couple of evenings a week when I wash her hair for her.

Never - a 10 year old baths themself.

Ds is 9. He showers every other morning, before school.
Except on Monday when he plays rugby after school and comes home muddy and warm - I send him up for a shower straight away.
I stopped running baths for him once he turned 9. He sometimes needs help getting the water the right temperature (old house, temperamental taps) but other than that he showers completely independently.
(he does like me to lay a towel out for him though )

I will be showing my 10 year old this thread. At the moment we are failing to agree on how often showering should happen.

I'm aiming for twice a week (once after swimming and once at home). After swimming is fine accoring to the 10 year old but it just isn't happening at home. Sigh.

I have a 10 year old ds who, 6 months ago, would happily have gone 2 weeks without a bath. Now, 6 months on he's starting to take more pride in what he wears, his hair and at last his state of cleanliness!

Dd is 9 and she would have a bath every night and sit in there for an hour but she has a quick shower mostly due to time limit.

Since age 8 and 7 they do their baths/showers themselves.

DD (10) now showers herself every night. It used to be every other night but she's started puberty and has started to sweat a bit more etc. She noticed it herself and said 'Mum, I pong!', so she quite happily showers daily now.

Both of my DS's (11 and 9) shower or bath every day - themselves.

to be fair they the 10 year old doesn't smell! hair started to look a bit greasy but then I found out DH had removed the shampoo from the swimming bag and not told me. I still thought they were washing hair at pool. Sigh.

I'm sure in 5 years time I'll be complaining I can't get in the bathoom (10 year old is followed by 8 year old who is equally soapshy!).
