does anyone know if there are any other french language classes/playgroups other than la jolie ronde?

the only jolie ronde classes near me are full or only available to children attending particular play groups.

i did french as a minor at uni (although it is very rusty) and want to encourage DS to speak french. i try talking to him in french but my french is so bad now i struggle.

Club petit pierrot is suppose to be quite good.

The only ones I know are for bilinguals or French monolinguals, ie where French is spoken in the home by one or both parents on a regular basis.

It sounds like that's not you - am I right?

I go to CPP with dd and she really enjoys it. It is not cheap but although we only do 1/2 hr a week it is interesting how much dd has learned. She is 15mo and we have only done 1 term but she knows the songs and responds to some words. Much too soon for speaking though.

We go to the class in South Ken which is quite structured which is good because it makes it easier to repeat at home. About half the kids have at least one french speaking parent which I think is great but do find a bit intimidating. A nice thing is the focus on culture which I could never give dd. Good for my vocab too - I studied the management of construction enterprises in France and am a bit lacking in baby related stuff!!
