Toddler stripping off nappy in bed

My 2 year old is not quite ready for nappy training just yet (and I am on crutches with a broken leg and living at the inlaws so not a feasible option at the moment) but she is going through a phase of stripping off and also taking her nappy off when I put her down for Naps. She doesnt do this at night thankfully (although it all comes off as soon as she wakes up) just during her day naps - thankfully we've only had one major poo disaster but I cant keep going in and puttin it back on as I'm struggling with mobility as it is. I put her sleeping bag on and I've tried body suits and sleepsuits but she can get all of them off - I'm getting desperate - any ideas????

swim suit?????

worked for a friend...

Goodluck!

I resorted to all in one zip type sleepsuit on back to front. Sleeping bag on back to front and if all else fails putting to bed in dungarees?

This stage doesn't usually last too long but I know what a nightmare it can be, esp as you're having mobility problems. Hope you find something that works for you.

I'm a parent of 3 kids. My twins would take off their diapers. I tried all kinds of ways to stop the behavior but it didn't work. A friend told me about a garment that they could not get out of. I gave it a try and IT WORKED GREAT! You may want to try it. It's called the little keeper sleeper. You can get it from their website
Hopefully it will work for you.

The keeper sleeper seems good.

Sellotape. Dd2 doesn't go to bed without it. Wrap it all the way around the nappy.

Unfortunately it won't take long for them to learn to pull the nappy down rather than unfastening it.

I used cloth nappy wraps over a nappy (ones designed to go over a cloth nappy), ones with poppers are good as are hard to undo eg Motherease Airflow.

Our daughter did the same thing at 18 months. The phase lasted for some time. Try mookimoo.com. They have a great selection of sleepwear that specifically addresses this frustrating phase of development. Best of all, the design makes it easier to change a toddler. They work great.

Eldest was a swine for ripping her nappy off in the night. We used to wrap it up with duck tape. OK, so you need to add scissors to your change kit but it is better than washing bedding every day.

dd3 could get everything off, poppers on motherease wraps were not a problem for her! we used sellotape too, had to cut her put each morning
