Night nappies for 3 year old

Ds is 3.3 and still needs night nappies but I can't find anything that works - he does a huge wee when he wakes up and soaks right through everything. He uses pull-ups and I don't want to force him back into cloth or disposable nappies - he is insistent they are for babies - nor is he at all happy with a cover over a pullup. Also I want to leave him the freedom to get out of bed and wee first thing which he does sometimes manage. The only pull-up that kept him dry all night was Sainsburys ownbrand and now they are discontinued! Bizarrely, in those he seemed practically dry in the morning. Anyone have any suggestions?

I haven't used one myself but a minki yoyo (standard)? You could boost it with whatever you wanted
Motherease bedwetter pants are supposed to be good, but I believe thay take a really long time to dry as they are so absorbent

minki yo-yos aren't great at actually dealing with much pee though, dd is 4 and still wets at night and if she does a big pee they soak through her clothes.... theoretically you can put more stuffing but realistically they don't actually hold that much.

i'm a cotton nappy fan but i have my stash of sposies for times i haven't done the washing emergancies and i found the pull up pants from lidl to be really good and would satisfy your ds's need for big boy pants.

they cope with my 2 year old ds's massive pees just fine and he only pees about 2/3 times a day and drinks gallons of juice so they must be good to cope with that!
