Is it ok for toddlers to have sparkling water?

I'm not on for DS (23 months) to have any fizzy drinks, but have just bought some yummy fruity drinks, made with natural ingredients. (I've checked the back).
The only things is, they use sparkling water. Is this okay for him to have?

yes, perfectly ok and not harmful. The problem with fizzy drinks as such are the crappy ingredients in coke and fanta etc., not the carbonation itself.

Thanks geekgirl.
I thought as much but my DH said it wasn;t good. I won't be listening to him in the future, that's for sure!
Do I need to dilute it for DS or just give to him as I will have it, ie undiluted? (It's not a cordial)

Is it not acidic though?

I could be completely and utterly wrong so don't jump on me but don't they deplete calcium or something.

Also mine never had them and they're 5,5 and 4. All 3 detest anything fizzy-they cried the fist time they had lemonade. A bit precious I know but I look soooo good at parties they're the only 3 who reject fizzy drinks.

Apologies if I'm completely wrong re the calcium but wouldn't hurt to google.

I googled it-there are links to osteoporosis in girls due to bone depletion caused by phosphoric acid(in cola). This has been argued against though. Sorry can't do links.

Healthy ones probably don't have phosphoric acid though so you're probably ok.

Thanks for comments, everyone.
After all this, I gave my DS the much discussed drink - and he hated it!
