Behaviour when potty training

I know it's a big development jump for toddlers to start potty training. However my DD has been behaving a bit unusually since we started. Majorly clingy to the point where she won't let me out of her sight, she wouldn't let me have my usualy sunday lie in this morning and refused to let anyone else take her downstairs to give her breakfast.

The other day she cried all the way home from nursery for some trivial reason.

Is it connected to the potty training or is it just usual toddler behaviour. TBH the clinginess is driving me mad, don't get a minute to myself.

DD was clingy when she was potty-training, and needed a lot more physical contact than usual. Two weeks later, though, and she's pretty much as she was - liking hugs and climbing on mummy, but not clingy.

It also sparked an increase in 'do it self!' - she's much more insistent than she was about trying to put her own clothes on, for example. Which is great as a whole - the only downside is that brushing her teeth (one thing I'm not ready to let her do 'self' yet!) has become a bit of a battle (again).

Thanks for info - hope things improve. Good luck with the teethbrushing!
