New baby, Ds1 wetting himself....

DS1 (3.2) has started wetting himself again having been using the toilet/potty since june last year.
Now, I know some degree of regression is quite normal but has anyone else experienced this. How long is it likely to last (although I'm guessing thats a 'depends on the child' type thing)?
The wetting isn't all the time but it's happened every morning -he does 3 a week - at preschool and they have said they don't have the facilities for children who wet and he'll have to stop going.
What have other people done? Any help welcome.

sounds like a pants preschool! surely they can't expect perfection at 3?

Sorry I only had a 19 month gap between DS1 and DS2 so can't help really.

Agree with mot dd1 ( 3.7) is going through a phase atm. She had been dry for over a year, but it seems to have coincided with the obvious fact that I am pregnant with dc3.

Preschool have been fab, they know she has been dry and are trying to help. They toilet the children regularly etc and observe and prompt if necessary.

As for not having facilities for children who wet that is just poor care, as many are not dry by 4. Stick to your guns and just say he's coping with a completely new situation and some regression should therfore be anticipated, you're hoping it will be a phase!

mumoftoby - it's one advantage of a smaller age gap. when ds2 arrived we had none of these problems as ds1 was 17 months and still in nappies.
Doris - I was debating about asking them whether they prompt them re: going to the toilet. He never needed it before, in fact, when we spent weekends at my mum's she would prompt him and he would stop telling me meaning I spent half the week washing pants.
I think I will take your advice and keep him in a little while. Up til now I've been really happy with the preschool but not overly impressed at this. Stopping him going would just mean even more upset to his routine.
