what to wear with wool?

I've just purchased my first wool wrap (disana pull on pants) but I'm not sure what to dress DD in with it. I am planning to use it at night when I normally dress DD in a long sleeve vest and a gro bag. I think the vest may be too tight with a wool wrap and wondered what other wool users do.

bump

Sorry is this too stupid a question?

Just wondered if people have problems with vests wicking etc. and whether there is something better to put DD in....

I've been using sleeveless vests without poppers under long sleeved pjs, or a long sleeved top on my little boy. He usually goes in a 2.5tog sleeping bag with pyjamas (long sleeved top & long trousers) from Tesco. I've found (at least for boy ones) that the elastic is quite loose on the waist. Must say you do have to watch tight fitting clothes, as it will cause wicking - and you'll end up with damp clothes! But if she's already used to not having anything else on her legs (just wearing vest with grobag), then just put her in a long sleeved top of some sort with the wool pants on the bottom half - and that's her sorted!

If the Disana pants are brand new though, you'll have to do several lanolising I'm afraid before they'll be up to overnight. I've only recently gotten one of my pairs of Disana pants OK for nights - but they're fab now! Lasts my little boy (a very heavy wetter) 12 hours with no problems - and I love the long cuffs, as you're certain no bits of nappy are poking out!

DD wears a baby beehinds wool wrap at night, with a vest, babygro and sleeping bag. Sometimes the sleeping bag feels slightly damp from compression wicking because she stays on her back all night. I just air it over the side of the cot during the day and in an hour or so it is dry and does not smell of wee.

I was thinking this too, with the wool wrap (also a Disana) there's no way that DDs vest will do up, or even her sleepsuit really. This is her first night in wool so I really hope it works, I've never had a leak overnight before so am a bit apprehensive that she'll wake up soaking wet.
