Ds was clean and dry no probs at 2.6. He started nursery in january at 3.3, and wet himself the first day. For a couple of days he had poo issues as well but they sorted themselves.

But the wee issues continue. He is wet at nursery every time he is there. More often than not they don't notice (- tends to wear long tops) even though I have asked them to keep a special eye out. They almost seem to feel that it isn't an issue 'he'll grow out of it' type attitude, but it is spilling over into home now. He regularly leaves it until he has a big wee patch before hitting the potty/toilet. Tried to be very low key, hey no probs it's just a little accident, coz I didn't want him getting upset, but now he just seems not to be bothered, 'it's just a little patch, mum, it's only an accident', and not bothering to get to the toilet 50 % of the time.

Was thinking of trying a reward chart? Would this work, how do you do it? Never used one before. If not that, what?

Sounds like you need a reward chart for the nursery staff . I can understand them not wanting to make a fuss, but maybe if they at least changed him, that would send the right message?

I know, I keep mentioning it, and they keep smiling and assuring me they'll keep an eye, but ...... It is a very free and easy nursery, although they do have their own 'teacher' they can play in any of the rooms or outside at anytime, so I suppose unless one member of staff is following him around it is perhaps not easy. but still....

Just had a chat to him on the way to nursery about it, and when we got in there and I took him to the toilet he had wet himself!!!!! must have done it as we were talking about it!!!! wtf? I am totally flummoxed, feel quite upset about it and have no idea what to do?

Can I join you on this thread, DD is regressing badly at 3.2 and I am frustrated and in tears and don't know what to do. We got in the house and I asked if she wanted to go and she said no, I left the room and she peed.

Thanks fgmid, it is so reassuring to know that it's not just me!!!! Has your dd had any big changes, ie nursery or whatever? Talking to ds teacher, it did also occur to me that dh has just given up smoking and gone 'cold turkey' on some major pain meds that he has been hooked on for 20 years (long term disabled) so it has been very fraught at times in our house. However, the problem started with nursery.

No, nothing huge has changed, she changed up a room at nursery but was doing really well and then has slowly gone down hill again.
