We are in the process of (hopefully) going back to washables. I can't afford the out lay all at once so am going to have to combine with disposables for a while and put the money we save from not buying as many disposables, towards getting some new nappies each month.
ANYWAY. Because we don't have many, I don't have enough for a full load.
I want to get the balance right between a)being environmentally friendly (and keeping costs down and b) being hygienic!
I was thinking about, each day, putting any used nappies through a "rinse and spin" cycle and then adding the rest of my washing to that after and doing on a normal cycle? Although not too sure about the washing powder side as isn't it better to use half the amount of washing powder for nappies?
Really hate the idea of washing half loads all the time though!
