Kushies Konvert!

OK, maybe this is a bit premature, but WOW!
I've just changed DD out of her first Kushies AIO, and I'm impressed. (And they're not even mine! An expectant friend was gracious enough to let me try them out before her LO came along. She got three for a bargain price at a NNS) Anyway, I didn't boost them or anything, just put in a fleece liner from another nappy in my trial kit, and it was on for about 3 hours. No leaks, no mess - brilliant!
If you are a regular Kushies user, could I ask for a bit of advice, please? The nappies have a kind of 'flap out' pocket that appears to be stuffable; what do you suggest for stuffing? The pocket is shaped and does seem quite narrow. (I popped in a folded up square terry wipe - again from my trial kit.)
Also, would these be suitable for a night nnappy? (Obviously with appropriate boosting.)
Thanks in advance!

I used Kushies for myy DD and although lot's of people don't like them I never had any problems.

I used to pop a micro fibre cloth into the pocket.

I don't think they would last all night though.

Thanks Lillypie.
I talked to a real nappy adviser today, and she suggested trying terry squares for night time. not sure if I'm ready for that yet!

Funny you should mention kushies actually. I got a load of them when DD was very small, but didn't get on with them at all. They leaked out of the legs every time, because there just wasn't any grip. Anyway, was about to sell them yesterday and thought "i will give them one more try, now she is much bigger", and I tried one yesterdat afternoon which worked fine and she is in one now. If they carry on working fine, I will keep them. I think my biggest mistake is that she was just too small before and I should of just put them away for a few weeks, instead of giving up completely. She is now going to be growing out of them soon! And I have tonnes of them in the loft somewhere but can't find them!

I wouldn't bother trying to use them at night thought TBH. Unless you are still changing baby in the night a couple of times? I think kushies are OK in the daytime for a nice easy nappy but think you would always need something else for night time.

Hope that helps

Thanks S2bf4, I think you're probably right about overnight. I'm so glad your Kushies are working for you now.

I love my Kushies (and the people on here who sold me some really cheap!) - they're the only ones that all the nursery workers seem to have no problem with.

Started using them when chubby ds was 11mo, he's now nearly 2. I just use a paper liner, and sometimes a booster pad but not a special tiny one for the pocket.
