Things to do with 18mo DTs while I am ill with a bad cold?

I am at the tail end of a bad cold so although I have enough energy to get out of bed and do the normal 'stuff' around the house, I can't really face going for a long walk, etc etc.

Any suggestions for how to keep two very active 18mo DTs occupied this afternoon with minimal input from me?! Preferably not toooooo messy as I'll have to clear it up afterwards.

FYI, we've already done a very sloooooow walk to the library and we've made a letterbox out of a cardboard box. Cbeebies interests them for precisely 3 mins.

Help!!! Please

aquadraw

messing with sweepable things (rice, lentils)

build them an assault course out of the living room furniture (with you on the sofa in the middle of it)

or welly them up and turn them loose in the garden

Thanks - like the assault course idea!

One q though - how do you stop them from trying to eat the lentils?? Or do you just let them and figure that eventually they'll decide that they aren't v tasty?

cbeebies

Lol - will just let them get on with it then.

Highlander - unfortunately they aren't that keen on Cbeebies for longer than a couple of mins, otherwise that would def be the answer today!

run a bath full of bubbles, and get loads of plastic cups, whisks etc. and let them play in the bath for half an hour or so...

Put on a huge load of clean laundry in laundry basket in middle of room and recline on the sofa whilst they 'sort' it for you. Keeps my DTs occupied for ages and also means laundry is done although not particularly sorted

Ooh, love the laundry idea, I have an enourmous pile that I've been ignoring all morning. Will go and get it ready for them now.
