Will itti bitti d'lish nappies survive the night?

DD is not a very very heavy wetter, but is leaking through the nappies I use (not sure what brand they are, but they are cotton shaped nappies and PUL wraps), and I would quite like to buy some new, fun nappies, as I am using horrible old second third fourth fifth hand nappies.

I love the look of the itti bitti d'lish nappies, but my other half doesn't really want to have more than one type of nappy to use (it has taken him long enough to stop putting disposables on DD every time I turn my back), so they would have to last through the night as well.

I don't mind boosting them (they have pop in boosters I think?! Is that right?). I think my other half will cope with all in one type nappies better than anything else.

I really really want some fun nappies, so if you think these won't be any good, can you recommend anything else?

I have been tempted to try mine overnight as ds is not a masivly heavy wetter but because they are so trim it makes me think we could get leakage as not the coverage i get with say a wonderoo which is my fail safe bedtime pocket. Hope someeon comes along to assist us or perhaps one night i will just haveto bite the bullett.... i hate the risk of losing sleep though!

That said i use them through the day and i can get 4 hrs easily and up to 6 if he falls asleep at the wrong time

I always use the snap in booster btw.

Thank you Nappyzone.

Just bumping for any other itti bitti d'lish users. Also, does anyone know whether they fade in the wash eventually? I am planning more DCs, and don't really want them to look awful in a year or two.

Hiya, i havent found them to fade when i had the previously. I have now gone back to them as they are just so lovely. I wouldn't use one overnight though but my dd3 & dd4 can wee for england overnight

No not an overnight nappy but I can get 6h out of the tri-fold if DD has gone to sleep in the day and i'vew not wanted to wake her. If you're looking for nice ones that could be used for night you could get some Blueberry One-size. \They're fleece pocket, great containment on my DD and it's all down with what you use as stuffing, I've used Petit Dessous bamboo with a bit of hemp and it lasted easily.

cluborange, did you get them in the end?
I got a few for DS when he was about 18m, and they're just lovely to look at; however until he started potty training himself we did get quite a few leaks out of the sides (both wee and poo). I found them WAY less reliable than MEOS and airflow wraps which were basically bombproof.

That said, I'm wondering whether to get some for the new baby... though I'm not sure that's a good idea with explosive bf poo!

(They've not faded at all, by the way. OK, we've not washed them that much, but they still look as good as new - which has surprised me!)

LITTLEFROG My dd4 hasn't had a bf poo leak yet and she is 4 months now Go on get some you know you want to

lollipopmother · 16/03/2009 20:43

Never had a poo leak out of mine but I do find that they can get a bit of wet on DDs vest if I don't put her tights on first and then vest over the top, unfortunately it seems that the vest can fit perfectly between the nappy and her leg. Even so, it's only a tiny bit of damp, not a leak iykwim.

mumoftoby · 16/03/2009 22:54

I love my ittis (sad but true), but have to admit to 2 very slight sloppy poo leaks. Saying that DS2 is very long and quite skinny.

littlefrog · 17/03/2009 10:21

I wonder what we've been doing wrong then! For the few weeks when we used them quite a bit I had several wee leaks (the stripes down trousers kind where it's just got out of the edge), and enough poo leaks to mean that I didn't take him out of the house in an itti bitti if we were expecting a poo. I guess it could be a size issue - he was in the large ones, but he's a fairly chubby little boy, so that didn't seem unreasonable at 20m. Maybe I will get some little ones, after all I have another lovely council nappy voucher to spend now!

Octothechildherder · 18/03/2009 00:05

My ds3 can wee through them during the day - so not a night option for us!

I am trying out the new Easyfit on him at night and it seems to be going well.
