Moving from a potty to the toilet

Frankly, the novelty of carrying a potty more or less everywhere i go (with DS that is, on rare occasions i escape on my own i tend to leave it behind) is wearing off.

We have bought a very posh mini toilet seat attachment (DS is nearly 2y8 but tiny tiny) but although he is interested in playing with it he prefers the potty.

When should i expect him to use a real toilet and how should i help him make the change? (he doesn't really do change that well...).

in case its relevant we started all this lark about a month ago. He wees very successfully in potty but misses a few poos (this is getting better though).

I got both of mine straight onto the toilet and bypassed a potty. Which isn't much help to you!
Just keep offering the toilet rather than the potty I guess.

Whatever you do, DON'T flush the toilet when your ds is sitting on it! I know a few children who have been frightened off the whole idea by "helpful" older siblings showing them how to flush it when they were on at the time! Get a nice comfy training seat for the loo and a step stoll so he can reach the sink avfterwards and it'll be a real stepping stone for him to achieve!
