Sling users ahoy - which woven wrap to choose?

V happy carrying 7 mo DS in his Moby, but am thinking I'd like a woven wrap too as he gets heavier - also maybe the woven fabric would be cooler in the summer - plus, dammit, I like the pretty stripes.
Anyone used a Didymos, Ellaroo or Storchenwiege (or others) and could offer any feedback, tips, suggestions about sizes etc ?

i have a storchenwiege and I LOVE it.

that said, if you're looking for something that's going to be cool in the summer you might be better off with a gauze wrap... calin bleu or something like that?
i think a woven wrap would be too thick tbh

I love my wool/cotton didymos. The fabric actually seems lighter than a jacquard 100% cotton didymos.

There's a yahoo group called UKBabywearingSwap which is a useful place for advice as well as things offered for sale etc.

Thanks, will look at the yahoo group (also on slingmeet to see if anyone nearby).
Didn't know didymos did wool/cotton, sounds interesting (am a knitter so all for the wonders of wool in things - also thinking about wool nappy wraps atm...)
How are the gauze wraps for strength - I like the look of them, but will they stand up to a heavier baby / toddler? Has anyone used them for this?

Have a look here

Pretty slings are definitely a slippery slope

I'm about to put a couple of wool nappy wraps on the for sale board if you're interested
