Amby Nature's Nest - anyone have one?

I've read universally positive reviews of this and am thinking about getting one for baby 2. Does anyone have any feedback? Did you all love it?

I was also wondering about the fact that the baby doesn't really lie flat in it. Does it provide enough back support?

Thanks for any thoughts...

I loved it for my dc's lasted with double springs until they were about 7-8 months!
There has been lots of threads on them with a variety of reviews...www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/71262-baby-hammocks quite an old thread but there are more!

they are awesome.baby slept through from 6 weeks and it calmed digestive problems because it was more upright.no pressure points baby still supported though,LOVE IT.

We had one and loved it Don't think there are any issues with back support - they are used a lot is hospitals for preemie babies in Australia etc.

Yes, love it. But DD (nearly 10 months) managed to climbout of it last night, so I think we've reached the end of our Amby days.

Loved it, DD was in it for 10 months.

We got one (Christmas pressie to each other as they are quite pricey!) and it is FABULOUS. Plenty of body support. As another poster has said they are used in hospitals for prem babies. You can actually adjust the 'slant' so it is more or less hammock-y IYSWIM. So it's good for refluxy babies, for when they have a cold, good for preventing a flat head, etc. We didn't buy the special sheets for it- a folded cot sheet works fine for us. I can't wait to get the bouncy chair they sell- it just attaches to the Amby frame.

The first night DS was in his (at 5 weeks) we got an extra hour's sleep (a godsend in those days trust me!) as he just loved the bouncing it does when he moves. He now sleeps for really long stretches at night (and has done since 8 weeks) and although we'll never know if that's really the Amby's doing I do still love it. Plus it comes apart so easily for travelling meaning he's in it when we're away too. It also looks fab. I am not an Amby representative BTW! I should be though!! x

My friend (online) uses one and is a big fan - but apparently you can get a non branded one which is exactly the same for a 3rd of the price, just google "baby hammock".

fab, my DS loves it, gone from sleeping one hour to 7 hours the night we got it. DS loves movement. He has severe reflux and it is fab.

Camgirl, we are just about to sell one if you're interested - bought for DD1 to use at grandparents house, but she just sleeps in the carrycot part of buggy on the rare occasions she's there, not worth putting the Amby up each time.
It's new, she slept in it once and I have washed before use and since. It's natural colour, complete with travel bag. Let me know if you're interested and I'll look into postage/courirer costs as it's quite heavy. Can send photos if required.

Thanks everyone, this is so helpful.
MildWest, thank you for the offer. I'm not in the market for one until we've moved my son into his toddler bed/cot in loft etc so will be a few months yet (I'm 15 weeks) I think the resale value is another good reason to get one though .. !
