Early waking - use of sleep training clocks

Hi, Having been woken again at 545 this morning by my 2 and half year old, which then wakes up my 4 and half year old, i'm wondering whether sleep training clocks work? Either the bunny clock or the newer versions such as in the night garden, Thomas, etc. Any help/advise would be appreciated

many thanks

totally yes!! my dd went through getting up at 5.30am when she was about 2 1/2ish. we combined the bunny clock with a sticker reward chart we made. bunny was set for 7am - if she stayed in bed until he woke up, she got a sticker - 10 stickers equalled a thomas book of her choice.

it did work, but patience is needed - it takes a while. we also have relapses particularly if we go away. But, we just reinstate the chart and it goes back to normal. (we are working towards a gordon cd book after christmas seemed to have a negative impact on the mornings)

we do also say that if she wakes before bunny, she can look at books in her bed for those occasions shes a bit early. it does seem to work for her and us. hope that helps

Oh thank you so much! it was easier with my first as i could let him cry a bit, but elder at school now and it knocks him about if i leave little one to cry. There is light at the end of the tunnel then (and a bunny clock too!) sweet dreams....

DD 2.7 has always been an early riser and we got her one of these clocks. She just gets up and changes the setting from night to day
