Approaching middle age and not left home?...

Hi there, I'm looking to hear from other families who have children in their late 20s/early 30s who still choose to live at home. It would be great to hear your stories and experiences.

Thanks.

Late 20s/early 30s is hardly middle aged but no doubt a tabloid editor wouldn't care about that...

ComeOVeneer · 21/01/2009 16:22

Erm is this a media request? If so you are posting in the wrong place.

Very lazy journalism

Why is it lazy journalism? If this is a media request, clearly the correct procedure has not been followed, but I wouldn't describe it as lazy.

geordieminx · 21/01/2009 16:47

Well it isnt exactly radical starting a thread on MN, bypassing the £30 media request fee under the guise of wanting others "experiences".

He isn't the Messiah, he's very bad boy...

Apologies, I am new to the site and didn't realise there was a special media request section. I shall add my question to that board instead. Sorry for the inconvenience.

See, this is what I don't like about MN. What's wrong with just saying, 'Hi MK. Did you know we have a special section for Media Requests like this? You'll get a good response if you post there.' We have a section for them so they're obviously perfectly acceptable but it's understandable that someone unfamiliar with MN might not know exactly where to post. MK - sorry you've encountered some rudeness and I hope you get a good response to your request - after you've paid your fee of course .

geordieminx · 21/01/2009 18:30

sorry, having a bad day. I'm not normally as rude. Sorry.

MummyDoIt · 21/01/2009 18:34

That's okay, georgieminx. I don't normally tell people off either! It's just I love MN and I hate the idea of people coming along for the first time and getting a really bad impression, especially if they're journalists who may then write negative articles which in turn put off other prospective MNetters.

MummyDoIt · 21/01/2009 18:36

Mind you, he/she is obviously a very young journalist if they think late 20s/early 30s is middle-aged (speaking as someone who won't see 40 again and still refuses to admit to being middle-aged).

geordieminx · 21/01/2009 19:00

I'm only 27 but left home at 17

BrownSuga · 21/01/2009 19:09

I'm 35 and consider myself middleaged, if I live to be about 70ish. Anything past that is a bonus. But no, I don't live at home.
