I dry pail mine- put them in a bucket and then just wash every couple of days. I try to get as much solid off before dry pailing and if the solid is a bit runny then I hold the fleece in the loo and flush to try and get rid of it.

I use a fleece liner as this keeps the poo off the nappy (in theory although it hasn't these last few days cos dd's been ill)

I put a couple of drops of lavender oil and/or tea tree oil in the bucket (tea tree being antiseptic).

I have some washbags (79p from tesco) that I use to carry dirty nappies home in (dd's nappies obviously). If I can get rid of the solids then I flush them but if that's not possible then I just bring them all home and sort it when I get home

NO Fabric conditioner- will ruin the absorbency.

Tee tree oil- add about 5 drops to the empty bucket or add on top of a nappy or you can just put 5 drops on the lid.

You can buy your fleece liners off ebay, from a nappy company OR make your own. Buy some fleece from a fabric shop and cut to be 30cm x 13cm ish.
You'll pay about £8 a meter for fleece and get about 40 liners from a meter (way too many- only get 1/2 meter)

You can also get paper liners but poo tends to slide on these.

You can also buy 10 for a £5 off ebay. That's if you can't get hold of any fleece yourself. Just5 wash ir before you cut it and then you'll be ok- this makes sure that the colour doesn't run all over your nappies.

coloured fleece liners shouldn't run, but wouldn't bother with them, who's going to see them when they're inside a nappy? I feel the same way about funky nappies- why bother if you have to put a wrap over the top- just splash out on wraps instead to make an impression!

lynny- fleece isn't all the same quality. have a feel of it when you go into the shop- try and get stuff that's a bit thicker- you can tell from the feel of it.

You should be looking to pay about £4 for 1/2 a meter.

It shouldn't run but i wash it first just in case- once you've done it once you should be ok
