Our 12wk dd loves her bath, would stay in for ages but screams absolute blue murder when she is taken out and gets really distressed (real tears!). This doesn't stop until she is fully dried, dressed and getting her bottle. We have tried having the towels warmed up, wrapping her up immediately and cuddling her but she is having none of it. Any tips? Should we have bath water cooler? Room warmer?

fantastic that she loves her bath so much; often they don't! ....erm...its a phase, she'll change her ways before you do!

My DD was exactly the same. But she did HAVE to come out of the bath eventually, so we had to take the tears.

She has been through many phases since. For example, suddenly at the moment she DETESTS her bath..

Ds was the same - singing to him and giving him a massage (and underfloor heating or warm towel) all helped reduce the crying...

My 13wk DS is the same - but he only loves baths with Daddy - any other kind of washing procedure causes screaming too! I just find if I wrap him up and we have big cuddles and then I start blowing raspberries on his tummy the minute I put him down, he calms down very quickly.

Also he hates having wet hair (maybe it makes him cold?) so I try to dry his hair while he is in the bath (he is usually held in a sitting position) and he doesn't mind coming out as much then.

My dd (now 9 mths) was same at this age. For her part of it was I was keeping her in for too long because she was enjoying it so much that she then was a bit overtired and cold when she got out. Things improved when I kept baths to l0 minutes or less, and it also got better as she got a little older.
