Bilingual and sign language?

Hello ladies,
we've just started going to sign language classes. I speak to DD in my mother tongue but the classes are held in English.
Do I speak to her in both languages when doing the signs at home?

Thanks!
Teo

Dh and I spoke in our respective languages when we spoke and signed to the dds (ie stick to your own language don't start mixing the two) and that worked fine (in fact it was great as they realised that the words matched the sign (ie that daddy had a word for the sign and mummy had one)

Use your own language but the right sign.
I'm a speech and lang. therapist working bilingually (also have bilingual kids) and run my own signing business and this is always what we advocate.

that's great advice!Thank you!!!
But I guess when in the signing class I have to speak in Engl+signs (just while in class).

oh, and btw the class is held in Hullabaloo sign language. It is a mixture between 3 sign languages! Talk about confusion!!!!
