I hope so - I sent 2 thank you letters to MNers via email

chloemegjess · 02/01/2009 20:16

Yes I think it is ok providing you know that person checks their email

TheFallenMadonna · 02/01/2009 20:17

DS is emailing his.
Except to PIL.

Sorry I think they should be hand written - but I hate doing them I must do them this weekend.

Santaisfeelingfunnypeculiar · 02/01/2009 20:21

I think an email is fine, as long as it's going to someone who is a frequent/confident emailer, so feels at home in the medium ... but, for me, it probably needs to be slightly longer than a handwritten note (I reckon postcard's worth of handwritten is absolutely fine but would write more on email)

TheFallenMadonna · 02/01/2009 20:21

So do my PIL Iwantitnow, so their's will be.

Email infinitely better than nothing.

TBh I still think handwritten better than email, but nice email including info about how the present was received plus family news, perhaps a picture, wd be fine.

Ds is handwriting his, I secretly think handwritten is the optimum. But I am so rubbish at getting it done.
