I am looking for your recommendations as to what your prefered reuseables are. My DD is 7 weeks, and after using disposables for DS1, biodegradable's for DS2, I am making the switch to reuseables. I haven't got the time to research every single nappy, nor do I want to purchase lots of different ones and then choose. I want you to do that for me!!!!!

Therefore, if you wouldn't mind can you please let me know your top 3 purchases. I plan to wash every other day, I am more inclinded towards velcro than fiddly clips, and very superficially I like funky wraps (so maybe the blueberry minky's)

I am also thinking that birth to potty may be the best option.....

What do you think??? (won't be back for a while, as off to do the school run now)

Everyone will have their own favourites, but for me it's One Life or Motherease BTP plus matching wrap with a few pockets such as Bumgenius or Modern Baby Pop-ins which are also BTP and ideal for nappy bags as they are slightly quicker to change when out and about.

Good for you for going with reusables

I would think, being you have a girl, that the best funky but functional w/o being too pricey are the Nature Babies Stuffables version 2 - make sure you get the V2 as these are slimmer cut and have the Slimma Stuffs in with bamboo/microterry so they are very slim. The girly prints are eg pink gingham, or pink butterflies, very pretty. They're one size, velcro fastneing, and made in UK

Motherease Sandy's all the way, with a Motherease Airflow wrap. They have animals on them but aren't particularly girly. I would like some nice wraps but I know that the Airflows are brilliant and I'm not prepared to waste money on something that might not work properly so I'm sticking with what I know.

I've got some BTP nappies - Hip Hip Baby Wonderoos, Modern Baby Pop-ins, and a Baby Beehind for nights. I wouldn't suggest buying Wonderoos to be honest, I personally find that they're much too big and baggy for my DD who is 13w and 12lb. There's a lot of floppy material on the Wonderoos and it makes them look messy and bulky. The Pop-ins are lovely though, if you were wanting BTP then that is the one I would recommend as they have leg gussets so fit well even on skinny legs like DD and also they're velcro so a good fit.

Although BTP sound like a good idea, they do tend to be bulky on young babies and it's always debatable whether they'll last to potty training. Also they're more expensive than sized so if you bought some that don't work out for you then you'll probably end up spending more money than you need to on your mistakes.

The plus side of BTP are that they're easier to make in to a night nappy as you can add inserts/boosters easily.

Tried motherease and various tots bots but have settled on bumgenius as they're very easy to use. They have velcro and are birth to potty and aren't too bulky. Dry fast too.
