Only a man would do this, no?

I was sitting in the second row in church and got a whiff of poo. 3 minutes later i noticed the man in the front row changing his baby's minging nappy right there in the middle of the church service.

would a woman ever do that?
what else would only a man do?

mm.. I did see a woman changing her babys (dirty) nappy on the table in the middle of a crowded adn quite posh restaurant. but i have to say church ...ffs - could he not take little one out quietly to do it if that urgent

It's got sod all to do with gender.

How revolting though.
I've heard similar tales of women doing this sort of thing (on here)

true nicky -although reading my post I am struggling to think of any restaurant/cafe where I'd think it was ok to change your baby at the table , man or women

Well done that man for actually changing the babies nappy.

I hope he had some antibacterial hand stuff.

Do any churches have baby changing places (genuinely interested)

foxytocin · 10/12/2008 19:57

i think at the time i was laughing to myself thinking, "i wonder what the mother would think if she saw this now."

Definately not just men, I've seen women change nappies in all kinds of places that I have raised an eyebrow at.

IMO babies should be changed in a bathroom, or in as private a place as possible, particularly when dirty.

I have a friend who has no sense of smell and she has no qualms about doing her daughter's shitty arse in the middle of my living room floor. Gross.

So if on a train - where should one change a dirty nappy?

I've never faced this in RL and doubt I ever will - I'd just like to know.

Geepers · 10/12/2008 20:05

I'd do it on my lap in the toilet Lynette

hollyivypoppy34 · 10/12/2008 20:06

lynette I thought about this (and saw it happen) on eurostar the otehre day -it has 2 changing cubicles at either end of the train -clearly the train designer has thoguht long and hard about how easy it is to carry a baby/changing kit up to 7 carriages when train going at full tilt.... poor women must have had to change her son about 3 times (he was a sicky baby) and was doing it on the floor in the alcove areas between carriages where no one sitting.. imo it was the best option in circs

hollyivypoppy34 · 10/12/2008 20:07

out of interest geepers how do yuo manage that when they're bigger

Geepers · 10/12/2008 20:09

I'd manage, I'd have to. No way would I subject a packed train to the stink of my child's arse. It's just not on, is it?
