I am considering setting up my own business with them. It sounds ok as I could do it part time. Would like advice from anyone who does this already please. Merci

Hi,
I just started a few weeks ago. Its fun and you get good support from LJR. The only thing I dislike is the marketing. It takes a while to build up numbers. I started with 20 and now have 32 pupils. I'm hoping to pick up more in 2009.

Hi

Just interested on how it is going. Do you both live in London? Chrysanthemum, have you recoup the £600 investment? What qualifications are required?

Thanks
Yvette

Hi,

Thanks. I am also thinking of starting something in French in a little while, in Central London though; DD starts pre-school in September 2009. I am in two minds whether to do a Montessori qualification and starts something in French then or join up with somebody else. I am interested in the 3-6 year olds bilingual group; must say that I have not been able to formulate some concrete ides yet!

Hello,
Did you go for it Yvette? I'm just starting again after taking a maternity break and my numbers are small just now, (11) so I hope to pick up more pupils but don't have time to do much about it. I recouped my costs in the first year November - June. Although it is not as easy to attract pupils as it seems. I'm a qualified teacher but i don't think this is a prequisite. The teaching is great fun and I think it can be lucrative if you do clubs straight after school at lunchtimes or during the day at nurseries. I can only do a Saturday am and a Monday early evening which is limiting but I will eventually do this as my kids get bigger.I'm in East dunbartonshire near Glasgow.
