It's that time where we need to buy a new stage 1 car seat for our 9 month old. I don't have a clue though, so recommendations please!
We don't want iso-fix, and ideally it needs to be fairly easy to swap between 2 cars. We are planning on shopping for it over the weekend, so some food for thought would be wonderful.

we've used Britax seats for all three of our dc. Eclipse and evolva. Both brilliant, last for ages and easy to fit

differentID · 29/11/2008 00:07

Is you lo over 20lbs weight and has their head reached the top of the seat yet?

gigglewitch · 29/11/2008 00:08

Eclipse and Evolva.

we also got a seat cover - for going under the seat, so that when your little cherub spills heaven-knows-what in your car (yeah yeah you're not gonna let baby take food or drinks in the car...we all said that) it is easy to clean up. Also stops the child seat from damaging/rubbing the car seat

I'm just about at the car seat changing stage as well and I'm going with the Maxi Cosi Priori or Tobi, once I establish they fit in the car. The Tobi looks the most likely because it's a little bit higher and DD is a nosey little bugger

Another vote for Britax seats here

I have this one

We've just bought a BeSafe Izi Kid - it's a seat designed to be rearward facing for it's entire Group 0+1 life. Rear facing seats aren't as easy to swap between cars as their forward facing counterparts, but they do have a better safety record - see this site.

Hiya,
thank you for all your replies. Some very good suggestions, the serious searching begins tomorrow!! My daughter is over 20 Ibs with very good head and neck control, she's definitely getting too big to be comfortable in her current seat. [smile
