Has anyone here done an A level in psychology as a mature student?

If so can you tell me about it please?

I'm wondering about course length, hours per week of study, coursework requirements, practicals that you might have had to do, different courses available etc.

Sorry for the nebulous post, it's just that this has come up this evening and my friend and I think it would be fun to do but we know nothing about how to go about it.

Not an A level, but I'm doing the OU's "Openings" course in Psychology just now as a filler between two of the modules of my MBA. If you want to have a look on the OU website, the course number is Y163. I'm not finding it hugely demanding or time consuming - I think they suggest 5 hours a week, but I'm doing a lot less than that. You work at your own pace, so I'm just fitting it in as and when - the only deadline is the end of March for the final piece of written work. The materials are inteesting and well written, but don't go into much detail. But it's a good overview if, like me, you are new to to the subject.

HTH
