No. 2 due when no. 1 is 18 months - do I need a double buggy?

I'm trying to decide whether we need a double buggy or whether DD will be able to get by with a buggyboard.

I have a Quinny buzz at the moment which (1) I know and love and (2) I paid a fortune for. I'm not wild about buying another buggy so I wondered whether we could get by with a buggy board? I think DD should be able to walk by then so she should be able to hold on. Guess the problem is if she gets tired or wants a nap.
What's the general consensus/experience? Will DD still be small enough that she does need a buggy?

And a second question: if we do need a double buggy the Phil & Teds seems to be the most popular option. I've never been that keen on it though because the one on the bottom gets a fabulous view of the top one's butt, and not much else. Do P&T users find that a problem?

yes you need a double buggy. Buy something 2nd hand that you can sell on again.

Buggy boards in the cold & rain are not fun for an 18 month old and they have a tendency to get off when you are either moving or not looking. Having them strapped in is valuable!

I'd say yes, there is the same age diference between my two. For the first few months I just used sling and single buggy most of the time but there were times when I was walking further/just didn't want to carry ds and push a buggy so I used the double. Over the summer I used the double a lot, just to get out of the house and go for long walks. My sling was v v comfortable (wrap sling) and I still don't feel ds' weight when I use it now but there are times when I just don't want to carry him.

I think it depends on your lifestyle though, if you walk a lot then a double gives you more flexibility-I either do double, one in single buggy one in sling or one in buggy one walking. If you drive most places and just use the buggy around shops or short distances then a buggy board would probably be fine.
